Debra “Debbie” Jean Hawkins, 52, of Boothsville, passed from this life Saturday (Oct. 6, 2012).
She was born in Fairmont on Sept. 13, 1960, a daughter of Helen Nestor Stottlemire (Robert) of Elyria, Ohio, and Thomas Knisely of Fairmont.

Debbie was kind of a free spirit who was a big kid at heart. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, sewing, shopping, raising flowers and especially helping others.

She formerly worked as a sales agent for the Hartford Insurance Co. in North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Becky Douglas; one brother, Robert Stottlemire of Elyria, Ohio; seven sisters and four brothers-in-law, Carol (Randy) Smith of Elyria, Ohio, Tammy Bledsoe of Elyria, Kimmi Knisely of Lorraine, Ohio, Trisha (Ernie) Haupt of Elyria, Tina Huey of Fairmont, Shelby (Jamie) Kuhn of Fairmont and Becky (Tony) Kintigos of Kentucky; three step-brothers, Mike (Wanda) David, Greg David and Doug (Jennifer) Toothman, all of Fairmont; one step-sister, Lisa (Jason) Lytle of Mannington; two grandchildren, Brooklyn Douglas and Taizly Reese Martin; several aunts and uncles and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Thomas Reese; her sister, Becky Knisely; her brother, Randy Knisely; and her step-mother, Toni Shaffer Knisely.
