John Brent “J.B.” Heiskell, 57, of Fairmont, passed away April 25, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital with his loving family there.

He was born Dec. 11, 1957, in Fairmont, a beloved son of Mildred May Heiskell and the late Edgar E. Heiskell, who passed away July 2012.

He is survived by one son, Ryan Heiskell; his mother, Mildred Heiskell; his brother, Mark (Susan) Heiskell. Also surviving is Kathy Gerau, his fiancée, and her children, whom he loved as his own, Brandon (Jessica) Settle, Autumn Gerau, John Magliocca, David (Eileen) Gerau, Jarrod (Melissa) Gerau and Jay Gerau; a nephew, Greg Heiskell; a niece, Stephanie Rossi; grandchildren, Brody Settle, Emma Gerau, Olivia Gerau, Gwenyth Gerau and Ashton Gerau; and several cousins.

In addition to his father, J.B. was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George A. and Retta May, and his paternal grandparents, Denver B. and Erma Heiskell.

J.B. graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1976. He spent his entire working career of 41 years working at the family business, May Brothers Co., and was the president of the company. J.B. had many friends and enjoyed time spent with them.
