Diane Elane (Newbraugh) Efaw, 47, of Morgantown, died on Tuesday (Dec. 26, 2006) as a result of an airplane accident in Johnstown, Pa.

Diane was born on Dec. 14, 1959, in Fairmont, a daughter of Dana and Jean Newbraugh.

She was a former member of the Viola Union Mission Church.

Diane graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1978.

She was an EMT with the Marion County Rescue Squad in 1978. Diane graduated from Fairmont State in 1994 and received her bachelor of nursing degree from WVU in 2005. She was a former employee of Ruby Memorial Hospital and United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. At the time of her death, she was employed by Flight Source, LLC in Morgantown as a nurse.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Douglas Keith Efaw and their two sons, Daniel Lee Efaw and Derrick Allen Efaw of Morgantown; three brothers, Steven B. Newbraugh, Thomas R. Newbraugh, and Bradley H. Newbraugh; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Efaw and sister-in-law, Debbie Efaw, both of Idamay. She is also survived by five nieces, five nephews, four great-nieces, and two great-nephews.
