David Lake Sr. David Wayne Lake Sr., 53, of Morgantown, formerly of Fairmont, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Fairmont on December 14, 1959, a son of Jack and Pauline (Phillips) Lake.

David worked several jobs over the years and most recently for AT&T Wireless in Morgantown as a cellular technician. He was a 1978 graduate of East Fairmont High School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, David W. Lake Jr. of Fairmont and Nicholas T. Lake of Morgantown, one daughter, Erica Edminston and her husband Brian of Morgantown and six grandchildren, Raistlin Edminston, Ashtin Lake, Daylin Lake, Destiny Lake, Carmen Lake and Ayden Edminston Also surviving are two brothers, Mark Lake and his wife Julie of Fairmont and Michael Lake and his wife Tina of Peachtree, GA, two sisters, Donna Conn and her husband Dwight of Fairmont and Connie Perry and her husband Patrick of Westover, several nieces and nephews and his best friend Larry Koay.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beryl and Martha Lake and Truman and Rozella (Rosy) Phillips as well as several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont on Tuesday from 1-8 pm and Wednesday from 10-11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11 am with Pastor Cam Pyle officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
