Virginia Ellen Boone of the Kingmont Community passed away at the home of her sister, Eugenia on Friday, February 26, 2010 due to an extended illness.
She was born in Fairmont a daughter of Virginia Carter Wilson of Kingmont and the late Floyd E. Wilson, Jr.
Ellen graduated from East Fairmont High School and attended Fairmont State University. She was employed by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and proudly served as a transport/correctional officer.
She loved traveling and had traveled across the United States, to Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Aruba, her favorite being Aruba. She enjoyed biking, music and spending time with her adored grandchildren.
Ellen attended the Tri City Church of God of Fairmont under the direction of Pastor Billy Joe Grandstaff. While attending Tri City, she lead 20 people to serve the Lord.
Ellen was someone that could truly impact your life. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed. She had a courageous, strong spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. She could bring you up when you were down with her words of encouragement. She was a special and unique person.
In addition to her mother, she was survived by her daughter Kristy Boone Foster and her fiancee, John Dipetta of Rivesville; her granddaughters, Ellie Foster, Emmy Foster, Jayla Foster and Johnny Dipetta all of Rivesville; a sister Eugenia Cerisano and her husband Russ of Fairmont; two brothers, Eugene Wilson and his wife Jennifer of Fairmont and Victor Wilson of Kingmont; a niece Gina Cerisano Lemon and her husband Travis of Morgantown; three special aunts, Judy Carter of Fairmont, Joyce Carter of Fairmont and Lucille Powell of Morgantown and many cousins and friends.
Also surviving is a special friend and nurse, Mary Joyce of Fairmont. Ellen’s family will always hold a special place in their hearts for Mary’s great compassion and care during Ellen’s illness.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Ora Ellen Carter formerly of Little Falls, West Virginia and Floyd E. and Martha Wilson formerly of Morgantown.
